Day in the Life:
Once you've clocked in via our payroll app, you will check your tablet for the current jobs requiring your attention. This could be an installation or a service call. Each job will give you a description telling you the customer's complaint and allow you to review the history of the job.
If you are on Service for the day, you will check and stock your van with the appropriate parts to cover possible repairs. For Installation, you will load all required items from your supplied pre-install checklist as well as any other items you may need to complete the job. You will load supplies, tools, accessories, and equipment as needed.
Once you're loaded and ready to go, you will make contact with the customer, provide an ETA, then take your assigned van and head to their location.
Throughout the day you will be assigned service calls directly to your tablet and will be able to dispatch yourself as you move from one call to another. If you are on an installation, you will likely only be at the one job until it is completed. Taking a lunch break as you are able. Once there are no calls left for you to provide service, you will call or text into the office to verify you are good to head back to the shop. You may be sent another job or sent as a second hand for someone, to help the team. If you finish earlier than office hours, you will be expected to work in the shop if anything needs to be addressed, making sheet metal fittings for the next day's job, restocking parts, or cleaning as needed. If all the daily tasks are completed, you may clock out for the day.
